33,000 Words

If a picture is worth a thousand words . . . this post is a tad verbose.
You've been warned.

(subtitle:  March-June Coe Update?)

After helping Dave hold down the fort for 2 weeks in March
while I was on vacay in Oz with my sistuhs,
Mike stayed and helped Dave rebuild our termite-ridden fence
(that was pulled over by heavy vines & heavy rains while we were in MN at Christmas)
But ... it kinda looks like he let Dave do the dirty work :-)
Porter took the lead on the demolition
All done - beautiful, doncha think?
Now it's time to trim the bushes :-)

 We paid Mike in S'mores
... And we never did tell him he had a little bit on his lip

Before Kenzie could head back up to school in April,
she paid a visit to the dentist
Here's how she looked on the way home from getting her filling
a little dead on that one side :-)
Ryan & Madison were very sad to see their favorite Nanny head off to college
Here they are having a little fun

Porter's 5th Grade class took an overnight field trip on the Brig Pilgrim in Dana Point
Porter was on the Galley Crew & had to get up at 4am to start breakfast!

Taylor came to visit for a week while his mom & dad were in NY
He was the guest of honor and chose dessert - Graduation cupcakes "Those are my favorite!"

Abbie gave him a special pink bath ...
... And read him stories at bedtime

Porter - ready for his violin concert at school.
His favorite song by far was "We Will Rock You" (complete with foot stomping)

* Minnesota State Report *
Thanks to Mike, it had a dumptruck full of real balls of taconite ...
... And real fish (photos) swimming in one of the 10,000 lakes
Porter served some yummy Wild Rice Soup for his 'state food'

Porter's class performed a musical "Tall Tales & Heroes"
Porter was a salesman trying to sell a steamdrill that could outdrive John Henry
Being in the play was "OK" but the part Porter really enjoys is his responsibilities in Tech Support

Grandma & I made a quick visit to Porter's classroom after the play, and well...
Grandma's face describes perfectly what we both thought of Porter's desk :-/
Seriously?

A little post-play-performance pogo-sticking
complete with bow-tie :-)
which, incidentally, was fabricated from scratch by yours truly!

Abbie's Lacrosse Banquet turned into a photo opp :-)
She played Varsity & lettered this year!

Then it was time for Porter's last day of school class party - this balloon toss soon deteriorated
into an all-out water balloon fight!
School's Out and Summer has begun!!!
