Happy Birthday Abbie!!

My (middle) baby turned 14!

last October

Ok - I'm running a bit behind...sue me.

The kindergarten photo that she refused to have taken...
until her teacher called me at home
& 'invited' me to join her to help get the job done.

Abbie has always had a stubborn
(iron-willed?)
 side!

She's athletic, strong & can be fiercely competitive
when she's in the mood!

Abbie has a great sense of humor -
here she is in 5th grade on "Crazy Day"

She's
musically talented,
hard-working,
artistic
&
conscientious...
and it doesn't hurt my feelings
that she's a neat & tidy little one, too!

She loves CUPCAKES . . .

...not necessarily eating them,

but more as an icon...
representing her love of creating tasty treats!
(these were her 'birthday cake' this year)

Here she is on the big day
...freshly home from Cross Country

but she hates this picture
the only one of her on her b-day

so I added this one,
her Freshman school pic
beautifully re-touched
compliments of Orange County, I guess.

Happy #14, Baby Girl!

We love you!

She's also a completely trustworthy babysitter, and the patient object of much worship from her younger cousins!
And we can attest from several occasions of Abbie's ability to make a mean sweet treat!

Happy Birthday Abbie! (guess we aren't that far behind on a b=day gift for you!)

Great summary on Abbie before we get some LaCrosse games going! Can't wait! Us grands are really happy Abbie has chosen to rekindle those strong muscles she developed some time ago as a gymnast!

Hey! You left out her expert crawling, climbing and balancing on high furniture at 7 months of age!

We love our Abs! xox, Gram A and G pa

Don't confuse me like this. You know I had to pretend it was Christmas in the peak of summer, and it's nearly fall here, as the shops are putting out their easter wares (hot cross buns) and I'm thinking, didn't she just have a bday? ANd where am I, what day is it anyway. I will SUE you. So there.

I do love this post. Sad you didn't go ALL the way back to baby-hood, when her favourite auntie (at the time) took such loving care of her :)

She was such a cutie, and is downright gorgeous now! Can the OC peeps make me look that good? (very doubtful). I hope she's not mad at me for putting that bday pic in the calendar. Maybe you can glue this new one on top :)

I agree, Abbie is darling and fun to be around! I was feeling bad for not posting anything about Easton on his birthday at the end of January - maybe you've inspired to me to take a better late than never approach!
